Gere and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty were speaking at an HIV/AIDS awareness event in New Delhi earlier this month when Gere swooped the bombshell up, bent her backwards and started kissing her all over.An Indian court issued a warrant for both their arrests after a citizen filed a complaint saying the couple was committing an 'obscene act'.
They face a possibility of three months behind bars or a fine.
Last week Shetty took a stand defending the incident and accused critics of diverting media attention from the real issue of HIV and AIDS.
"I understand this is his culture, not ours. But this was not such a big thing or so obscene for people to overreact in such manner."
